Nature Photography Tour

This is an incredibly exciting photography tour with the renowned wildlife & nature photographer Ghulam Rasool, who has travelled around the Pakistan extensively taking pictures of the incredible wildlife and landscape on offer. Below are a few words of intro.

"Flying kites, running after birds, watching clouds at sunrise and sunset, and star gazing at night have been my fascination since the early years of my life. However, life took a turn when at the age of 13 years, I found my father's Yashica Electro 35, a rangefinder camera. The observations became my obsessions, and I began to observe everything with a new and different perspective. I started seeing life in frames, making visual stories out of lights & shadows play. The first picture I captured with that camera was a sunrise reflection on a roadside puddle. Without knowing, I stepped into the practical world of photography, and this is how I increased my visual vocabulary to explore my identity as a visual storyteller. 

Experimenting with various forms of photography, especially nature and wildlife, allowed me to work with the PWP / WWF-Pakistan team as a nature photographer. Breaking the rules and carving out a niche in nature photography, in general, and wildlife art, in particular, is something that I have managed to accomplish. The quest to learn the answers to life's existence took me on journeys into the far and wild corners, and I find myself so naive and ignorant in front of the unimaginable expanse of nature. 

Looking for the sacred moment in nature, I would go to any lengths for the shot of my choice and take pictures from my heart. In any form of art, the artist's motivation reflects upon his spirit, and my work clearly shows a deep-rooted component of Nature Spirituality."

DAY 1: ISLAMABAD

Arrive Islamabad and transfer to hotel (check-in time 12 noon). 

Once everyone has had a chance to freshen up, we will start sightseeing the city, visiting Margala Hills or Faisal Mosque. In the evening we will stop over at Saidpur Village for dinner.

Overnight at Margala Hills or Hill View Hotel 

DAY 2 : ISLAMABAD TO SKARDU 

We will depart for Skardu by air on a morning flight.

Once in Skardu the day will be spent taking pictures at various scenic spots on route to Hunza, which will be our end destination & where you will stay the night.

Overnight at a Offto Resort 

DAY 3: EXPLORE HUNZA

The day will be spent taking you to various scenic photo spots, advising you on how to capture the best pictures. You will be taken to Karimabad, Aliabad & Rakaposhi. In the evening we will take you to Duiker, which is considered to be the best spot for capturing sunsets. 

Overnight at a Offto Resort 

DAY 4 HUNZA - MINAPIN NAGAR

Following an early breakfast & photography session, we will make our way to Miniapin, Nagar to see the surrounding areas and capture incredible pictures of the surrounding scenery. 

In the evening we will make our way to Upper Hunza & check in at the hotel there.

Overnight at a Monarch Resort / Famree Resort (Attabad Lake)

DAY 5 HUNZA

The day will be spent enjoying the autumnal leaves one can see in Gojal. Today we will also be spending time with the local people in the villages. During the course of the day we will pop over to see Boris Lake & enjoy the majestic Passu Cones.

In the evening we will enjoy a warm bonfire amidst the high altitudes of the mountains of Karakoram.

Dinner will be enjoyed under the amazing night sky, where every star can be seen clearly.

Overnight at Monarch Resort or Famree Resort 

Day 6 HUNZA - SKARDU

Following a morning photography session, we will have breakfast and then checkout to make our way back to Skardu.

On route we will enjoy the local markets and the breathtaking scenery.

Overnight at Hotel Himalaya or Dynasty Hotel 

DAY 7 SKARDU TO ISLAMABAD

After enjoying some morning photography, we will have breakfast and then depart by air for Islamabad.

We will have the afternoon and evening to visit the city in a leisurely manner with dinner at Monal to finish the trip.

Overnight at Margala Hills or Hill View Hotel 

DAY 8 DEPARTURE

Airport transfers will be arranged for everyone to catch the flights back to their respective countries.
